The S.C. Arts Commission updated its grants lineup in March 2019 to replace Quarterly Project Support grants with new, rolling-deadline Arts Project Support grants for artists and organizations. Read more about that change here, and get guidelines and apply for Arts Project Support grants here.

Arts Project Support (APS) Grants
At least six weeks before the project begins
Up to $1000
1:2 for artists, 1:1 for organizations
Traditional Arts Apprenticeship Initiative (APR) Grants
Note: This deadline is the Intent to Apply Notification deadline. The full application process must be completed by 04/01/2020.
$2,000 to the Mentor Artist and $500 to the Apprentice
Artists’ Ventures Initiative (AVI) Grants
Two-part application process:
1. Letter of Intent to Apply (open to all eligible artists) due 1/15/2020
2. Full Application (by invitation only) due 3/16/2020
Up to $3,500 for a one-time project/single purchase; up to $5,000 for an ongoing business venture
Individual Artist Fellowships (FEL)
The application deadline has passed for FY21 Fellowships. Application materials will be available in mid-2020 for the FY22 Fellowships in Visual Arts, Craft, Media: Production, and Media: Screenwriting.
