The South Carolina Arts Commission’s Lowcountry Arts Hub Region reaches from our southern coastline to the lower portion of the Georgia border, and includes:

Our Hub Partner
Our Lowcountry Arts Hub partner is Public Works Art Center in Summerville, creating and fostering an arts community for all.
Public Works Arts Center is a family-friendly 501(C)(3) nonprofit community art center in the heart of Downtown Summerville. With three galleries that have new exhibitions every eight weeks, special (free) events, classes for all ages, a pottery studio (with two kilns), summer camps, ten studio artist spaces, event rental space, and SO much more. Public Works Art Center is THE cultural hub and creative incubator for Downtown Summerville and beyond.

Our Lowcountry Arts Hub Office is located inside Public Works Art Center at 135 West Richardson Avenue, Summerville, SC 29843.
Meet the Team

- Arts Hub Coordinator – Midlands and Lowcountry
Gage is a musician and educator, having served as adjunct instructor at Newberry College and marching band clinician and percussion instructor for public schools across the state. He also runs his own percussion studio and has built an impressive portfolio of customer services experience at Sims Music. He received his bachelor’s from Furman University and his master’s from the University of South Carolina, both in Percussion Performance.
