The South Carolina Arts Commission (SCAC) believes that learning in and through the arts is an essential part of lifelong learning. While we offer a robust portfolio of Arts Learning grants designed to expand access to high-quality arts experiences for students across the state, we are not able to award grant funding directly to minors.
If you are seeking financial support for a student pursuing arts opportunities, we encourage you to explore the following resources:
- Connect with the student’s school or school district.
- Ask whether your district has a District Arts Coordinator or other arts education leader. These individuals may be able to connect you with local opportunities, funding sources, scholarships, or community arts programs.
- Explore scholarships and financial assistance.
- Many arts organizations, community foundations, civic organizations, and local nonprofits offer scholarships, tuition assistance, or grants to support students participating in arts education, camps, competitions, and other artistic opportunities. - Seek sponsorships from your community.
- Local businesses, service organizations, faith communities, and individual donors are often willing to sponsor or financially support students pursuing arts experiences.
