About

Artist Bio

Zyck is a passionate drummer, entrepreneur, social media influencer, and speaker known for his dedication and charisma. Starting his drumming journey at the early age of two, he has cultivated a lifelong love for music. He attended the prestigious Berklee College of Music on a full-tuition scholarship and graduated in the fall of 2023 with a degree in Music Business. With over 100,000 followers and subscribers across all platforms, Zyck continues to inspire audiences as a professional musician performing all over the country.

Zyck captivates audiences with his dynamic performances and words of wisdom. Playing for over five bands, his versatility shines across genres from reggae to country. In 2020, Zyck made the transition into doing music full-time, with hopes to inspire others to follow their dreams and passions as well. He believes discipline and determination can turn dreams into reality, spreading joy and fulfillment through his music and words.

Zyck also gives back to his community by visiting schools in his hometown to teach students the F.R.E.A.K. Framework — which stands for being Fearless, Resilient, Authentic, and Knowledgeable. Through this message, he shares the lessons he wishes he knew growing up, empowering the next generation to pursue their goals with confidence and purpose.

In 2024, Zyck launched his online drum school, School of Chops, teaching drummers worldwide through lessons and mentorship. His latest project, the Sounds of the Future Music Scholarship, raises $5,000 for Dorchester District Two seniors pursuing music after high school.

Artist Statement

In my mission to inspire and motivate the next generation, I’ve set my sights on shaping the future of creativity by reaching students from grade school through college. Many young people grow up believing that pursuing music—or any passion—means settling for limited options, but I want to change that narrative. It’s possible to be successful, fulfilled, and cool doing what you love without fitting into anyone else’s box.

Recently, I visited my old high school, where I shared my story of going from a student with a dream to earning a full-tuition scholarship, performing across the country, and building my own business as a professional musician and entrepreneur. Seeing how moved and inspired the students were reminded me why this mission matters so deeply. Now, I’m channeling that mission into the Sounds of the Future Music Scholarship, designed to support students who want to pursue music professionally after high school. By providing financial assistance, this scholarship helps prevent talented young musicians from being discouraged due to lack of resources, giving them the opportunity to chase their dreams and reach their full potential.

This initiative isn’t just about music; it’s about mindset. It’s about showing students that with dedication, authenticity, and support, they can create a life filled with meaning and success. The goal isn’t just to give money—it’s to inspire, empower, and open doors for the next generation of dreamers.
