Artist Bio

Wilford Wells Jr., as a band leader, has been on the music scene as a young man and has grown in musicality and becoming the proprietor of Bill’s Music Shop and Pickin’ Parlor in West Columbia’s outstanding community. During the past three years, Wilford’s managed to bring the popularity of the band and shop to the community and the Bluegrass community. Wilford is keeping his father’s legacy going and adding his own to preserve Bluegrass music thriving especially for inspiring young musicians. You never know when the band is performing there could be a young guest performer to entice audiences!

45 years experience in the music industry, multiple opportunities with organizing events and performing other hi band over the years. Wilford has owned and operated a recording studio with 35 years of great success.

Recording artist with the Son Sound Group with this recording label since 2016 has 4 number one national charted songs, and nominated 2 years in a row 2022 and 2023 for the Bluegrass Gospel group of the year.

My specific approach is always listen to your fan base and also through collaborating with other artists within the Bluegrass or Country music community. Always looking for new songs with multiple popular song writers.
