Jimmie Lynn Dykes holds a degree in Design from Clemson University’s School of Architecture and a Master of Landscape Architecture degree from the University of Georgia. She has been a Registered Landscape Architect for 24 years and has participated in juried art festivals across the southeast with her metal work and jewelry designs. During that time, she has also been involved in arts integration and is a teaching artist with the Metropolitan Art Council’s SmartArts program. She enjoys connecting students to design…and math when they aren’t looking!
My design process begins with a conversation and a site visit. Once the site parameters and client goals have been established, a landscape design can be done. I believe that simple designs are often the strongest and that a thoughtfully designed space can connect people to each other and their surroundings.
