The Anderson Arts Center’s mission is to foster the practice and appreciation of the arts. With a focus on visual arts, the Center is located in a renovated 33,000-square-foot railroad storage warehouse which houses three galleries, classrooms, and an artists’ co-op, as well as additional tenants including a performing arts venue and music academy. Utilizing all three galleries, the Arts Center hosts approximately 12 different art exhibits each year. Art classes and workshops for both youth and adults are offered, and the Center produces a thriving summer art camp. In partnership with governmental entities and other various organizations, the Arts Center provides public artwork throughout the City and County, plays a pivotal role in the production of the Soiree Arts Festival, and hosts one of the longest-running Juried Shows in South Carolina.
