A graduate of the Arturo Michelena School of Fine Arts, Yelitza’s artistic journey spans over 30 years, specializing in ceramics and sculpture with national and international acclaim.

Serving as an Art Education teacher in elementary school, Art History professor in secondary school, and Cultural Promotion advocate in Tinaquillo’s local government, she has played a pivotal role in shaping the artistic landscape of her native country. Yelitza’s sculptures, characterized by a bronze-like appearance and minimalist style, focus on the human figure. Purposefully omitting facial and genital features, her creations symbolize collective triumph over barriers, showcasing the resilience of the human spirit.
Internationally, Yelitza seeks to enrich Greenville’s culture with innovative perspectives on universal art. Emphasizing the naked human form as a pure and universal artistic expression, she challenges societal taboos and encourages a broader acceptance of figurative art. Throughout over 30 years, I have dedicated my life to art and teaching, graduating in Fine Arts in Venezuela. I have participated in prominent exhibitions and contests, leaving my mark on public sculptures both in my home country and in South Carolina. My specialization in ceramics and sculpture has been recognized with numerous awards. My artistic approach highlights the human figure through mixed techniques and a minimalist style, omitting facial and genital features to focus the viewer on the true essence of the artwork. As an international artist, I seek to enrich Greenville’s culture with my perspective on the human figure, challenging taboos and promoting the acceptance of universal art as something beautiful and natural.
