Every few years, the South Carolina Arts Commission Canvass of the People gathers statewide information about interest around arts and culture in South Carolina. We use that information to launch a forward-thinking and robust strategic plan.
Canvass data collected in 2024 will be used to inform updates to the 2025 SCAC strategic plan and to further its mission to promote equitable access to the arts and support the cultivation of creativity in South Carolina.
As we explore using regional arts hubs to expand access to our services across the state, we ask that you please complete this survey to provide your input!
Six in-person focus groups will take place from April to August. Focus groups are free and open to all, however we ask you to register in advance to help us plan for the number attending.
Please use the registration links in the listings below if you’d like to attend the in-person focus group in a community close to you. If you live in a nearby county and are able, let us encourage you to attend! Venue addresses are on the registration pages.
