Artist Bio
Darion McCloud is a formally trained visual artist graduating from the University of South Carolina with a B.A. in Studio Art. Darion eventually found his way to the stage as a storyteller, actor, and director.
Artist Statement
Connecting. That’s what I’m doing. Whether it be by telling a story. Or creating a piece of visual art. Or instructing a room full of students. Or playing a role in a play. Or directing a play. Or acting on a screen. Connection is what I seek. To you. To me. To strangers. To family. To past, present, and future. Perhaps by showing you who we are. Or who we could be. Who we want to be. Using the tools of sound, movement, color, fear, and courage. I give you a piece of my heart. So we can…connect.
