Artist Bio

Since 1999, Orlando, Florida based A.C.T. For Youth has given over 4000 performances of 46 productions to approximately 775,000 audience members in 19 U.S. States. Performances are conceived, written, composed, produced, directed, and performed by Don Gruel & Noel Holland who have spent their careers creating fantastic theatre for young audiences.

ACT For Youth brings ENTERTAINMENT & EDUCATION to the stage!

ACT for Youth tours Year-Round bringing high quality theatre performances to children and families across the U.S.

Each production is performed by highly skilled Professional Actors who have a dedication to Arts Education.

Scripts are adapted from classic literature, history, & legend and are written to be both fun, accessible, and intelligent.

Shows are designed for touring and can be performed in performing arts centers, theatres, auditoriums, libraries, museums, multipurpose rooms, cafeterias, gymnasiums, or just about any open space.

Performances are approximately 40-50 minutes.

A post-show Question & Answer or Meet & Greet with the actors is also available, if time permits.

Residency Programs are also available and can be custom designed to fit presenters’ needs.

Atlantic Coast Theatre (ACT) For Youth has been recognized for its artistic excellence and has received support from THE FLORIDA ARTS IN EDUCATION, ARTIST PERFORMANCES ON TOUR PROGRAM

ACT For Youth has also been included on the Artist Roster for United Arts Of Raleigh / Wake County NC, and has been a long-term artist on the SC Artist Roster.

Artist Statement

The Atlantic Coast Theatre (A.C.T.) For Youth is dedicated to bringing the art of theatre to children & families. We believe in the amazing imaginations of children and endeavor to create performances, workshops, and educational programs that inspire and encourage discussion. By making a difference in the lives of children, we impact the future of our world.

A distinct part of our mission as a Professional Theatre Company is to encourage acceptance and diversity. This theme is reflected in many of our productions as a way to improve the world in which we live.
