My name is Mahkia Greene and I’m a Columbia-based filmmaker and teaching artist. My love for film emerged at a young age, When I became fascinated at how movies entertained, educated, and transported. My love of digital storytelling led me to a Bachelor’s degree in Media Arts from the University of South Carolina in 2016. Since then I’ve not only been creating and experimenting with different forms of media, but teaching Media literacy and Video Production for the past 5 years- running a collection of afterschool, in-school, and field trip programs as well as guest speaking at various venues around the country including guest facilitating at the 2018 Obama Foundation Summit in Chicago, IL.
