About

My love of photography started in my early teens, where I explored the world around me through my camera lens. I began my journey as a professional by earning an associate’s degree in commercial photography and lab technician skills from the former Ohio Institute of Photography in Dayton, Ohio. This training equipped me for a professional career lasting more than twenty years as both a photographer and lab specialist.
As the digital transition began to dominate the commercial photographic industry, I found myself drawn more to photographic art and teaching. At this point, I decided to leave the commercial world and return to college to pursue a new dream. I earned my BFA from Watkins College of Art in Nashville, TN, and then moved on to complete my academic journey by earning my MFA from Savannah College of Art & Design in Savannah, GA.
I now teach photography and digital media on the college level, as well as photographic workshops for both children and adults.
