Arts Access Teaching Artist
- • Theatre
Mallory Pellegrino has worked as a teaching artist throughout SC, CT, and Seattle, WA for the past nine years. Her specialties include active approaches to Shakespeare, mask-making (elementary through college level), adapting literature into theatre, devising original content, and using theatrical practice to explore issues of shared concern and promote self-expression (especially with those who don't consider themselves artists). Mallory has extensive experience in arts administration: booking and scheduling workshops and residencies; managing a team of teaching artists; and writing state-aligned curriculum to accompany various productions. She remains committed to using theatre in both traditional and non-traditional classroom settings, championing process over product, and enjoys working with students and adults of all abilities. Currently, Mallory resides in Greenville, SC where she is the Director of Education at The Warehouse Theatre, a SmartARTS teaching artist, and a guest director at SC Children's Theatre.
