For Rico R. McDaniel there is no subject or project that is beyond his phenomenal abilities. He is capable of creating and completing large scale projects with stunning leadership, unwavering persistence and unparalleled vision. From Winnsboro, SC, Rico graduated from Fairfield Central High School with dreams of becoming an artist, writer and filmmaker. Rico has developed a unique skill set that has made him a unique and engrossing artist. He is a graduate of The Art Institute of Charlotte with a BFA in Digital Film and Video Production. Rico has won multiple public speaking awards and is also the 2015 Toastmasters International South Carolina Humorous Speech Contest Runner-up. He is also the President of Raconteurs Toastmasters in the Hyatt Park Community. He recently received a fellowship with Indie Grits Labs Two Cities Project and an Artist in Residence at Midlands Arts Conservatory. His work has appeared in the Columbia Museum of Art and Indie Grits Labs. He uses positive marketing and branding imagery to flip negative stereotypes, misconceptions and opinions. By working with members of the community in his projects he aims to positively influence the way the members feel about and view themselves and their communities.
