About

Lauren French is an actor, director, and teaching artist from Greenville, SC. She received a BA in Theatre from Clemson University. Last fall Lauren was in The Warehouse Theatre’s Educational Tour of The Tempest and is excited to join the tour again this fall. For the past two years Lauren has performed her solo show, “Intimate Dinner; or ‘Tap Water Is Fine’,” at Capital Fringe in DC, Piccolo Spoleto in Charleston, Spartanburg Fringe, and Greenville. She received an Artist Grant from the Metropolitan Arts Council, which made it possible for her to produce the show last December at The Velo Fellow. Lauren is a Teaching Artist with The Warehouse Theatre and SmartARTS (MAC). Last year Lauren taught pre-show workshops for The Tempest Educational Tour, and Wooden O workshops in middle and high schools throughout Greenville County. In May she attended the Woodruff Arts Center Educator Conference in Atlanta, Georgia. She gained a wealth of knowledge on Arts Integration and is excited to implement those ideas in her teachings. She has trained at the Accademia dell’Arte in Italy, and the Stella Adler Studio of Acting, NYC. For more information visit laurenjfrench.com.
