About

My name is Daniel Flores and I am a trans, multidisciplinary artist and community organizer. I was born in Tamaulipas, Mexico and have lived in Columbia, SC since 2002. My immigrant and queer experience shape my art and community work, which focuses on injustices faced by immigrant/Latine and LGBTQIA+ communities.

My artistic career began at age 17 when my short film, Freak of Nature, was screened at the Indie Grits Film Festival. In 2017, I designed La Jotería, a spin on la Lotería, which was featured on . Since then, I have been a part of and created art installations, demonstrations, and digital art incorporating my passion for social justice.
