Kirby is an enthusiastic SCAC Verified Teaching Artist and Curriculum Coordinator with over 25 years of broad-based experiences in Theatre, not limited to roles such as playwright, actress, director, producer, and stage manager. She has a successful track record of creating meaningful and stimulating art programs that deepen personal experiences and instill cultural appreciation, discipline, and confidence. Trinessa spearheaded the first theater program at Uhuru Academy, an African-centered private institution. There she was the resident playwright. She is an active Teaching Artist with The Auntie Karen Foundation; introducing and guiding underserved schools, in rural areas of SC, to the joys of theater.

Trinessa trained in a broad range of therapeutic methodologies and collaborative approaches to teaching under the guidance of award-winning artists, such as Armitage Shank and Terrence Henderson. She spent 13 years creating and collaborating with NiA Company, as an actress, writer and stage manager. She is currently a company member at Trustus theater, where she serves on the inaugural board of the theater’s DEI team.

Trinessa is a Cosmetology trained Instructor and Business Owner. She operates Lady. T. Luxuries LLC, a mobile beauty and nail spa experience.
