Kalah Crawford, based out of Columbia, has recently found her passion in the art industry. Taking one single art class in 1999, Kalah found that drawing came easy for her. It wasn’t until 2017 that she learned that she too had a talent in painting. Though she surfaced a few basic paintings in the past, she never found an interest or will to learn more about it until then. She specializes in acrylic and oil paintings, murals, epoxy installations, and portraits. She has had opportunities to showcase her work in exhibits, schools, partners of DJJ, and has traveled out of state to share her work with other communities. She has been featured in magazines, on news stations, and in newspapers. Kalah has done work to capture family historical stories for Dr. Walter Curry, has done commissions of portraits to tell stories of several people that lost loved ones to spread awareness about suicide and domestic violence, and she has worked with AMIKids in Columbia and Patricks, South Carolina to motivate and inspire teens that deserve opportunities to make different choices in life. She is the CEO of A.D.D. Art by Kalah, LLC and her art is the exact same way she is: inspired and motivated to tell a story and capture the attention of her audience; t’s complicated and it’s an expression without boundaries. So where does A.D.D. Art by Kalah come from? It’s Artistically Diversified and Defiant Art created by Kalah Crawford.
