About

Carol Cannon, Singer, has appeared as soloist with the Baltimore, Boston, Dallas, and National Symphony Orchestras; has presented lecture recitals and master classes at international congresses and world forums; has been full-time Voice faculty Artist/Teacher, East Texas State University as well as Visiting Professor, Voice and Vocal Repertoire, Rice University Shepherd School of Music.

Dr. Carol Cannon has been an artist-in-residence and artist-in-education with Texas Commission on the Arts as well as artist-in-residence with Arkansas Arts Council and State Arts Council of Oklahoma. At the conclusion of a month-long artist residency with the Pittsburg, Texas ISD, Carol directed high school students in a well-received performance of Kurt Weill’s folk opera, Down in the Valley.

Dr. Carol Cannon received a B.M. Voice, Peabody Conservatory of Music, The Johns Hopkins University; M.M. Vocal Performance, University of Maryland; Ed.D. Educational Administration with Vocal Performance, East Texas State University. Carol has taught classes in studio voice; voice class; vocal pedagogy; vocal repertoire; opera workshop.
