The Elizabeth O’Neill Verner Awards

The awards luncheon is presented by the South Carolina Arts Foundation, honoring the current year's recipients of the Elizabeth O'Neill Verner Governor's Awards for the Arts. The luncheon is held in conjunction with the Verner Awards ceremony and art sale. The art sale and ceremony are open to the public.
 

Recipients of the Jean Laney Harris Folk Heritage Awards are also traditionally recognized at the ceremony and luncheon.

Proceeds from the luncheon benefit the South Carolina Arts Foundation, a non-profit organization supporting the education and arts development programs of the South Carolina Arts Commission.

Due to the state budget reductions, the Elizabeth O'Neill Governor's Awards for the Arts have been suspended for 2009.
