The Elizabeth O'Neill Verner Governor's Awards for the Arts are traditionally presented during a special ceremony at the State House in Columbia, followed by the S.C. Arts Foundation's awards luncheon at the Columbia Marriott Hotel. Due to the state budget reductions, the Elizabeth O'Neill Governor's Awards for the Arts have been suspended for 2009.
