An annual fundraiser supporting the arts education and arts development programs of the South Carolina Arts Commission


Presented by the South Carolina Arts Foundation, the gala is the annual celebration of the South Carolina Arts Awards.


Tickets to the gala are $75 and may be purchased at the door.

Art Sale

The gala will include an art sale featuring paintings, glass, pottery, sculpture, fiber arts and other original works of art by South Carolina artists, plus “arts experiences” created to showcase cultural and culinary arts. A wide range of original one-of-a-kind artworks provide many choices for both seasoned and beginning collectors.

... and can cap an evening of fun dancing to the music of The Root Doctors.

Concert - note venue change

Prior to the gala, recipients of the Elizabeth O'Neill Verner Governor's Awards for the Arts and the Jean Laney Harris Folk Heritage Awards will be recognized at a concert taking place at 6:15 p.m. in the Granby Room, 701 Whaley Street (in the same building as the gala). The concert will feature a reading by Verner Award recipient Nikky Finney and a bluegrass and gospel tribute to the late Harold Clayton, who is receiving a posthumous Folk Heritage Award.
