The Pickens County Museum of Art and History highlights a family’s artistic heritage with Flowers: Tom - Mark - Morgan -Three Generations of Art. Tom’s work is rooted in the tradition of surface, texture and color. Son Mark’s work is constructed panels and narrative imagery, while grandson Morgan’s work takes a cutting-edge leap of digital imagery, both static and in motion.

Renowned artist and collagist James Denmark and his grandson Dimitri join forces for the exhibition Generations at ARTworks in Beaufort. Denmark uses brightly hand-colored papers, fabric and objects to create compositions sought by collectors worldwide. Represented in a number of prestigious collections, including New York’s Metropolitan Museum of Art, Denmark now makes his home in Yemasee, S.C.

Nature and the Grand American Vision: Masterpieces of the Hudson River School Painters

The Columbia Museum of Art is one of only four museums in the U.S. to present Nature and the Grand American Vision: Masterpieces of the Hudson River School Painters, a major traveling exhibition of 19th-century landscape paintings. Recognized as the “premier men’s vocal ensemble in the U.S.” by Fanfare Magazine, Cantus will bring its On the Shoulders of Giants program to Clemson University's Brooks Center for the Performing Arts. The performance pays tribute to artists who inspire new generations of musicians with masterworks by Bach, Wagner and Schubert, and more contemporary hits from Elvis, The Beatles, Ella Fitzgerald, and Simon & Garfunkel.
