Online South Carolina Arts Resources (OSCAR)

OSCAR has two types of users with four entry points.

Types of Users:

1. If you have never logged in to OSCAR...
   you are a new user. Everyone is a new user upon their first visit and must register using one of these three entry points:
   • New OSCAR Users
   • SCAC Grant Applicants
   • SCAC Approved Artist Roster Members
Note: Even if you previously registered with the "eGrant" system, you must register as a new user with OSCAR.


2. If you have logged in to OSCAR at least once...
   AND you have completed registration, you are a Returning OSCAR User.

Entry Points:

1. If you have logged in to OSCAR at least once...
   AND you have completed registration,
   use the Returning OSCAR Users entry point.
   
   This entry point is for EVERYONE who has already registered with OSCAR, whether through
   • the New OSCAR Users entry point, or
   • the SCAC Grant Applicants entry point (using the information mailed to you by SCAC), or
   • the SCAC Approved Artist Roster Members entry point (using the information mailed to you by SCAC).


2. If you have never logged in to OSCAR and you are...
   • an artist applying for the Approved Artist Roster, OR
   • a SC organization applying for the first time for an Operating Support Grant (Annual or Long-Term),
   use the New OSCAR Users entry point.
   
   User names are unique and cannot be duplicated, so you cannot register twice in OSCAR.
   

You will only use the New OSCAR Users entry point one time. Once you have logged in this way, you will receive your username and select your password, and from then on you will use the Returning OSCAR Users entry point.


3. If you have never logged in to OSCAR and you are...
   a SC organization that has previously applied for an Operating Support Grant (Annual or Long-Term),
   use the SCAC Grant Applicants entry point.
   
   To use this entry point, you will need the two pieces of information supplied to you by mail from the SC Arts Commission.
   • SCAC Applicant Number
   • SCAC Applicant Login
   If you have lost this information, please contact your county coordinator.
   
   By using this entry point the first time you login to OSCAR, you will be able to access your organization's most current data. If you are a previous grant applicant and you do not use the SCAC Grant Applicants entry point the first time you login to OSCAR, but you instead use the New OSCAR Users entry point, you will not be connected to previously entered data. You will start from scratch with your Operating Support grant application.
   
   You will only use the SCAC Grant Applicants entry point one time. Once you have logged in this way, you will receive your username and select your password, and from then on you will use the Returning OSCAR Users entry point.



4. If you have never logged in to OSCAR and you are...
   on the Approved Artist Roster (AAR) as an active Artist prior to October 2006,
   use the SCAC Approved Artist Roster Members entry point.
   
   To use this entry point, you will need the two pieces of information supplied to you by mail from the SC Arts Commission.
   • SCAC Applicant Number
   • SCAC Applicant Login
   If you have lost this information, please contact the SC Arts Commission.
   
   If you are a previous Active artist on the AAR and you do not use the SCAC Approved Artist Roster Members entry point the first time you login to OSCAR, but you instead use the New OSCAR Users entry point, you will not have an Artist Studio available and will not be on the Online Roster.
   
   You will only use the Approved Artist Roster Members entry point one time. Once you have logged in this way, you will receive your username and select your password, and from then on you will use the Returning OSCAR Users entry point.
