How to Use the South Carolina Arts Commission Logo
Acknowledging public funding for the arts goes hand-in-hand with promoting the vital role of the arts in building communities. By using the South Carolina Arts Commission’s logo in conjunction with appropriate credit for funding, artists and arts organizations can inform their communities about the impact of public support for the arts.
The Arts Commission unveiled a new logo on September 10, 2007, during the kick-off of the 40th anniversary. During the anniversary year (September 2007 - June 2008) individuals and organizations are asked to join in the celebration and help distribute the new logo statewide. These guidelines explain how to use the new logo.
Guidelines for the South Carolina Arts Commission logo
Replace the Arts Commission’s old logo with the new one on Web sites and in other electronic communications as soon as possible. Begin using the new logo on printed items when the items are reprinted or printed for the first time. For example, playbills already printed for the 2007-2008 season may have the old logo, but an advertisement yet to be created for a 2007-2008 performance should include the new logo. If you have any questions about logo use, please call 803.734.8696. Thank you for helping the Arts Commission distribute the new logo near and far!
