Completing the Application Form
Thank you for your interest in our Innovative Partnership Grants! Following is some helpful information on completing your grant application; if you have any questions, please call Kim Harne (803.734.8630) at any time. We’re here to help!
Applicant Information
- The school’s name on your application must match the name listed on the school’s IRS tax-exempt letter.
We are unable to process an application unless the name and number match federal tax records.
- Enter all your voting district information.
If you need to locate that information, go to www.vote-smart.org.
- Please complete all contact information.
- If applying for a school, the Contact Person is typically the teacher requesting the grant, and the Authorized Official is typically the school’s Principal.
- If the Contact Person is also the Applicant Organization’s Authorized Official, please complete both fields.
Please note: the person designated as the Authorized Official is required to sign the last page of the three-page grant application entitled "Grant Application for Organizations."
- Under Primary Organizational Function, choose Arts Education.
Fiscal Receiver/Partner Information
- The Fiscal Receiver for a school is typically the District Office, and the Fiscal Receiver’s Authorized Official is typically the Superintendent or Treasurer (the Authorized Official must be someone who is authorized to enter into contractual agreements).
- The name of the Fiscal Receiver on your application must match the name on the Fiscal Receiver’s IRS tax-exempt letter.
We are unable to process an application unless the name and number match federal tax records. Do not use variations on your name of record.
Please note: the person designated as the Fiscal Receiver/Partner’s Authorized Official is required to sign the last page of the three-page application entitled "Grant Application for Organizations."
Organization Grant Application Summary
Note: Be sure to fill in your school’s name at the top of the page in the Applicant Name field.
- Grant Program Category: choose AIE Innovative Partnership Grant.
- Type in the Project Title
- Primary project discipline: select the project discipline
- Project Activity type: your project activity will likely be one of the following:
- Creation of a work of art
- Concert/perf./reading
- Arts instruction
- School residency
- Curriculum dev./implement.
- Project dates: type in the start and end dates of the project. Project dates must begin after July 1 and end by May 15.
- Request $: type in the request amount, not to exceed $4,000.
- Please keep in mind that you will be required to match the amount requested; so, if you request $4,000, you must be prepared match the grant with $4,000 of other funds.
- SCAC staff person who advised applicant: please tell us who advised you during any part of your grant process.
Certification
Note: Be sure to fill in your school’s name at the top of the page in the Applicant Name field.
- Carefully read through the certification points to ensure that all are true.
- Type in the name and title of both your Authorized Official (from the Applicant Information section) and Fiscal Receiver (from the Fiscal Receiver/Partner Information section).
- Have your Authorized Official and Fiscal Receiver sign and date where indicated.

After completing the application and obtaining the required original signatures, compile all required attachments and mail to:
