SC Arts Commission Arts in Education Program

Application Narrative for After School Arts Initiative Site Proposals

In no more than four, single spaced pages, in no less that 12-point type with one-inch margins, provide the following information about your proposed three year pilot after school arts program. Number and title each section of your narrative to reflect the numbers and bolded, capitalized keywords of following items:


  • One paragraph program SUMMARY.


  • One paragraph description of the YOUTH WHO WILL BE SERVED by the proposed programming (ages, socioeconomic characteristics, etc.)


  • General OBJECTIVES, as well as specific "milestone" objectives for year one, year two, and year three (what key results for the participants and the program do you hope to see, in terms of social, intellectual, artistic and creative growth, for the program as a whole and year by year?).


  • Detailed PROGRAM DESCRIPTION (what will you do to accomplish these results? what will the process be? where will activities take place?)


  • Three year TIMELINE, in the following format:

  • Information (in the following format) on the KEY INDIVIDUALS OR GROUPS in your organization and/or key contractors (artists, consultants, etc.) who will be responsible for carrying out the proposed program.

    Please provide information for each key function (staff, contract, or volunteer).

    If a key position is currently vacant, enter “vacant” for Name and enter basic requirements for Major responsibilities and Qualifications.

    If a major responsibility is handled by a committee or team, enter the committee or team name for Name, “committee” or “team” for Title, and enter the general responsibilities and qualifications required of committee or team members.
