Arts in Education Booking Conference

The annual Booking Conference has resided under the umbrella of the SCAAE Annual Conference for the last two years. Because of space limitations at their conference venue, they will not be able to include the Teaching Artist Booking Hall among their programming in 2011.

If you are an educator looking for a teaching artist, you are encouraged to visit the Roster of Approved Artists Online Artist Studios. Note: Not all approved roster artists have created an online studio entry. If you are looking for a particular artist and cannot find him/her via your search of the online roster, please contact the Arts Commission.

About the 2010 Conference

The 2010 Arts in Education Booking Conference was included as part of the S.C. Alliance for Arts Education (SCAAE) Arts Integration Conference, September 23 & 24 in Columbia. Educators from all across the state attended this conference, which set aside time for participants to visit exhibit booths in the Artist Booking Hall.

Professional artists who are approved members of the S.C. Arts Commission's Roster of Approved Artists were on site to share information about the residencies and performances that they offer. Artists' exhibits, which include all arts disciplines - visual and performing arts, crafts, media, literature, storytelling and photography - are focused on serving school arts education programs.
