Arts in Education Booking Conference

The 2009 AIE Booking Conference is being held Sept. 24 in Greenville in conjunction with the S.C. Alliance for Arts Education's fall conference. Registration information will be distributed in the second half of June. Artists may contact Eleanor Stein for more information, (803) 734-8630.
NOTE: Artists must be on the S.C. Arts Commission's Roster of Approved Artists to exhibit at the Booking Conference.
The Booking Conference is ideal for representatives of institutions
that want to kick their educational programs "up a notch" by
utilizing artists. Those representatives might include:
- Teachers, principals, superintendents or PTA members
- Museum, library, church and hospital administrators and staff members
- Community arts council and center coordinators
- Park & recreation facility and festival coordinators
Professional artists will exhibit their skills at
the conference. Artists' exhibits, which include all arts disciplines
- visual and performing arts, crafts, media, literature, storytelling
and photography - are focused on serving school arts education programs.
