SC Arts Commission 2013 Prose Fellow

Kathryn Etters Lovatt

 

 Kathryn Etters Lovatt of Camden earned her Master of Arts in Creative Writing from Hollins University. The winner of the 2012 Press 53 Open Award for short story, she also is a past winner of the North Carolina Network’s Doris Betts Prize and a three-time winner of the South Carolina Writers Workshop’s Carrie McCray Memorial Award for fiction. Both her poetry and fiction have received Pushcart Prize nominations. She is a Virginia Center for the Creative Arts fellow and a previous executive board member of South Carolina Writers Workshop. Most recently, her work has appeared in Main Street Rag and MoonShine Review and is forthcoming in North Carolina Literary Review and Press 53 Awards Anthology. Before returning to her hometown of Camden, South Carolina in 2007, she lived, studied and worked in Jakarta, Hong Kong and in London.
