Sharon Graci is the co-founder and artistic director of PURE Theatre. She has a bachelor's degree in acting/theatre from Augusta State University, and has studied at Pittsburgh Conservatory of Theatre and participated in master classes in New York City and London.
Graci has more than 20 years of professional acting and directing experience on stages such as Actor's Theatre, Charleston Underground Theatre and Theatre 99, television work includes One Tree Hill (WB), Army Wives (Lifetime) and Surface (NBC). She founded the Charleston Children's Theatre in 1997 and PURE Theatre in 2003. She serves on boards and committees for several cultural organizations, including the League of Charleston Theatres and Charleston County School District Arts Advisory Steering Committee. Graci is also an active member of Screen Actors Guild, AFTRA, the Society of Stage Directors and Choreographers and the S.C. Arts Alliance. She is an alumnus of Lincoln Center Director’s Lab and is a S.C. Liberty Fellow / Aspen Institute, Aspen Global Leadership Network.
