SC Arts Commission Grant Awards

Arts in Education (AIE) Grant Awards: ABC Advancement

Purpose

The purpose of the ABC Advancement grant program is to support schools, school districts, or Gifted & Talented Consortia committed to implementing standards-based arts curricula and to making the arts an integral part of the basic curriculum and daily classroom instruction. View the current guidelines >>>

All S.C. Arts Commission grant awards are contingent upon availability of funds, submission and approval of final reports, and compliance with program grant guidelines. Additional grants are awarded throughout the year.

NOTE TO GRANTEES: The grant amounts listed below are based on the Arts in Education grant budget that received tentative approval from the Board of Commissioners on April 19, 2018. Final approval for Arts in Education grants typically occurs at the June Board of Commissioners meeting, scheduled for June 21, 2018.

However, this year we requested additional EIA (Education Improvement Act) funds from the SC Legislature, which will have an impact on our Arts in Education grant budget. A conference committee is scheduled for June 27, where the state’s General Appropriations bill (including our EIA funding) will be debated and a formal budget recommendation will be made.

We do not know the timeline for finding out if we will receive this additional funding. As soon as we have finalized the grant award amounts, we will post an update here. In the meantime, please note that the funds listed below are tentative, and may be subject to change.
