SC Arts Commission 40th Anniversary
Tell Your Story!
We’re looking for compelling “stories” or “testimonials” that speak to the impact of the arts during the past 40 years. We’re looking not only for stories about artists and arts organizations, but about business leaders, community activists, educators, government staff and others who credit their success in life in part to their experience in the arts.
- Artists – can you trace your passion for your art form to an experience you had in a SC classroom as a child? Have you benefited from your community’s commitment to supporting artists? Tell us the story of your journey.
- Everyone else – do you believe that your success and enjoyment in life are related to your experience in the arts? Did a special teacher, mentor or friend introduce you to the arts? Tell us how the arts have influenced your life.
We’ll publish some stories on our Web site, and offer the story ideas to local media for additional coverage. You can submit stories by e-mailing Milly Hough.
